Budget Bites for Good Health:

Meat–twice a week substitute your meat dish for a bean dish.

Drink tap water instead of costly soda. If you prefer, add a splash of flavor with flavor packs found by the Koolaid isle.
Frozen Juice Concentrate cost less than regular fruit juices.

Fruit– buy What is in season or buy frozen fruit and vegetables.

Leftovers– use them the next day for lunch or again for dinner.

Beware of coupons, sometimes it is cheaper just to buy the store brand.

Things to do this Summer

Quick Trip Center Water Park located at 41st & Riverside. It is Free and has multiple water features and a playground.

The Blue Hole (I think I got that right) is a lovely man-made waterhole to beat the summer heat—located in Pawnee take 412 W towards Stillwater then take Hwy 18 N. $2 admission, Slides, platforms and other kid friendly features.

Play date at ChuckECheese (for little ones) You can buy $10 worth of tokens (I think you get 30 tokens) my granddaughter mostly plays on the tunnel slide that is free, we can make 3 trips on the 30 tokens. Go to www.chuckecheese.com and get a coupon for 80 tokens for $12.50.(go before 1pm on Sat or you’ll be bombarded by birthday party kids.)

Donate to Help Others

Karen Cypert is collecting gently used children’s books to donate to the Sand Springs Community Service Center, if you have any please drop them off to me. You can contact me at info@isabugbooks.com. or reply to this blog.

Donate to your local food pantry. I normally buy something from Sam’s each week then donate the items at the end of the month. If you don’t know of a food pantry, bring it to me and I’ll take it to the one in Sand Springs: they also take clothing.

Recycle unused prescription drugs thru Tulsa County Social Services Dept.
